Residents are encouraged to join in the exercising activities we have to offer at Coxbench Hall. Exercise classes are run three times a week, led by Sarah and the 'Let's Get Active' team. Everyone can join in this fun and enjoyable seated exercise which aids movement and promotes a healthy heart. Keep active by taking part in a group activity such as Carpet Boules, or if a more relaxed approach is preferred, take a walk in the delightful, extensive grounds to explore the winding pathways, lawns, mature plants and many seating areas to rest and enjoy the views.
There are many things to do at Coxbench Hall, for both independent characters and those wishing to spend time with others.
We have plenty of board games, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and we have arts and craft items for the creative amongst our residents. Group quizzes are very popular, as well as Bingo and Quiz Ball.
For those seeking an active social life there is regular entertainment to be enjoyed.
Themed dinners are held on the last Friday of every month, and residents are encouraged to invite guests to these evenings of sumptuous food and professional entertainment. Other social activities include birthday parties, garden parties, Bingo, sing-a-longs around the piano, quizzes, 'share-a-film' Fridays.
We regularly hire outside entertainment in the form of singers, musicians, speakers and story tellers.
The local Minister visits monthly to celebrate Holy Communion. 'Bible Readings and Hymns' is held at least monthly in the conservatory on Sundays and All Saints Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas and Easter.
An abundance of carol singers visit us during December from Highfield Happy Hens, The Rotary Club and St. Michael's Church of Holbrook. More weekly visitors include the Let's Get Active team, a professional hairdresser, and Tattie, a lovely Jack Russell from the Pets As Therapy charity.
