During the current pandemic, Coxbench Hall have been undertaking many activities with Residents to keep spirits high.
Recently Residents have been celebrating Chinese New Year in style, enjoying a week of activities which included making a wonderful dragon display with handprints of the residents and team, attempting to make fortune cookies and making homemade Chinese lanterns. In China, Cherry Blossom trees represent love so residents also made pictures of Cherry Blossom trees which were displayed all around the home. The home is currently renovating all of its communal areas so these pictures brighten up the home whilst the work is being undertaken. Finally, on 12th February, the Residents enjoyed a delicious three course Chinese menu for lunch.

Coxbench are also looking forward to hosting their own Memory Walk for residents and staff on 20th March supporting the Alzheimer’s Society. Director Sarah Ballin has been involved with the charity for 5 years and in pre-pandemic times, has hosted the warm up for these Memory Walk events all around the Midlands. The charity has become even closer to the heart of Coxbench Hall in recent times with Managing Director, Brian Ballin having been diagnosed with Dementia during the pandemic.
Sarah will be hosting the Memory Walk event at Coxbench Hall in the wonderful accessible gardens. The route is officially 3km and loops around the garden but the residents will be taking part in various walks, with the length tailored for each individual. This event will also be available to attend virtually so relatives and friends can join in with the fun.
Coxbench Hall have been COVID-19 free throughout the pandemic and are very proud of the robust infection control measures that are in place keeping the Residents and Staff of the Coxbench Hall family safe.
