At our family-run care home, we believe that caring extends far beyond the support we provide to our residents. Being part of the local community and supporting charities that make a difference to people’s lives is something that is very important to our family and our team.
Over the last couple of years, we have been proud to host Macmillan Coffee Mornings, bringing together our residents, their families, friends, staff and members of our wider community for a few hours of good company, delicious treats and an important cause.
Our coffee mornings have been filled with laughter, conversation and plenty of homemade cakes and refreshments. Most importantly, they have given everyone the opportunity to come together and help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that provides vital support to people living with cancer and their families.
We are delighted to share that, through our fundraising efforts over the past couple of years, we have raised an incredible £1,624.62.
We are extremely grateful to everyone who has contributed, whether by donating, baking, attending our coffee mornings or simply helping to spread the word. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, has helped us reach this fantastic total.
For our residents, these events are also a wonderful opportunity to remain connected with the community and take an active role in supporting causes that are close to many people’s hearts. It is lovely to see everyone coming together, sharing stories and enjoying time together while knowing that we are making a positive difference.
☕ Join Us for Our Next Macmillan Coffee Morning
We are delighted to announce that our next Macmillan Coffee Morning will be held on Friday 25th September, from 10am to 12 noon.
We would love for our families, friends and members of our local community to join us. Come along, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, treat yourself to something delicious and, most importantly, help us raise even more money for this wonderful cause.
Whether you can stay for the whole morning or simply pop in for a coffee and a chat, everyone is welcome.
As a family care home, we are incredibly proud of our fundraising efforts and of the generosity shown by our residents, families, staff and friends. £1,624.62 is a fantastic achievement, and it is a total we can all be proud of.
