We are proud to announce that Coxbench Hall has officially enrolled and signed our declaration on the Veteran Friendly Framework, a national initiative developed to support older veterans living in care homes across the UK.
The Veteran Friendly Framework, developed in partnership with organisations such as the Royal British Legion, Armed Forces Covenant, and NHS England, aims to ensure that care homes provide the best possible support and recognition to residents who have served in the armed forces.
By joining this initiative, Coxbench Hall has committed to a series of best practices that include:
- Identifying veteran residents to ensure their unique experiences and needs are acknowledged.
- Providing tailored care and support that reflects the military background and health profiles of veterans.
- Connecting residents with veteran-specific services and networks, including local veteran charities and support groups.
- Staff training and awareness, so our team understands the importance of military service and the potential health and wellbeing issues veterans may face.
