Memory Walk

As many of you will know, the Alzheimer’s Society is a charity that is very close to our hearts. They are the UK’s leading dementia charity who campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia.

In previous years members of the Coxbench Hall team have taken part in the public Memory Walk, with Sarah (one of our Directors), conducting the warm up at the beginning of several walks around the Midlands.

This year has been very different for all of us, but we still wanted to show support for this amazing charity by holding our very own mini memory walk in our mobility friendly gardens.

We are incredibly proud of the 15 Residents and 11 members of the Coxbench Hall Team who braved the cold to take part in the event, and that each person did at least 2 laps of our 0.5km course.

Due to the current situation, we couldn’t invite anyone from outside of the home to join us. Despite this, the support we got was greatly appreciated. We covered a grand total of 36.5km, that’s 22.7 miles in old money.
